Finding Strength and Balance Through Every Season of Life

Health and wellness is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Just like the seasons shift, so do the ways our bodies, minds, and hearts need care.

Looking back on my own journey, I see so many “seasons of strength” — each one shaping me, teaching me, and reminding me that wellness isn’t about perfection. It’s about honoring where we are and giving ourselves the grace to grow.

In my younger years, strength looked like long days full of endless energy. I could run hard, bounce back quickly, and push myself in ways I didn’t even think about! But what I didn’t always realize then was that taking care of my body went beyond just movement — it was also about rest, fueling myself well, and listening when I needed to slow down.

As life unfolded into my twenties and thirties, my fitness became more about balance. Between family, work, and community, my time looked different — but so did my motivation. Movement became less about proving something and more about caring for myself so I could care for others. A run to clear my mind, coaching my kids on the field, or even stretching after a long day — these moments kept me strong in body and spirit.

Now, stepping into this new season of life, I see strength in a deeper way. It’s not just in muscles or miles — it’s in resilience, in patience, in showing up consistently even when it’s hard. It’s recognizing that mental and emotional health are every bit as important as physical health. It’s choosing joy in the little things, being thankful for what my body can do, and knowing that wellness is a lifelong partnership with myself.

Each season has taught me that strength looks different — and that’s okay! It’s in the laughter, the tears, the growth, and the grace we give ourselves along the way.

No matter where we are, we can find ways to move, nourish, and care for ourselves. And that, to me, is the true beauty of health and wellness. It grows with us, through every season of our lives!
