The East Hill Neighborhood Association is celebrating the success of its most recent Bands on the Bayou concert and is excited to announce the final concert of 2026 on Friday, October 2. Originally scheduled for July 31st, the summer concert was rescheduled due to weather and took place on August 7th, featuring Pensacola’s own “grass-rock” band, The New Cahoots. The rescheduled show was a huge success, bringing the community together once again for an evening of live music and family fun.
The music continues October 2 when Bands on the Bayou welcomes Cowboy Park, a beloved favorite of the concert series. Cowboy Park is ready to keep the momentum going and bring another lively evening of music to Bayview Park. Bands on the Bayou invites the community to come out, enjoy the sunset over Bayou Texar, and celebrate another evening of great local music with neighbors and friends.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to make the most of the evening. Food trucks will be on site starting at 4:30 p.m. to offer a variety of local favorites, and there will be activities for children, making it a perfect event for the entire family.
The Bands on the Bayou series is made possible through the generous support of local sponsors, including premier sponsor Levin Papantonio, and the dedicated efforts of the East Hill Neighborhood Association. The goal of the concert series is to foster a sense of community while raising funds and awareness for local nonprofit organizations. October’s concert will feature Ready Kids! a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring local children are fully prepared for day one of kindergarten—and set up for long-term success beyond the classroom.
