Saying “Yes” To A Life You Love

For me, health and wellness go far beyond fitness routines or balanced meals—it’s about loving what I do, and feeling purpose in every role I step into.

Every “yes” I’ve spoken—whether to an odd job, an educational opportunity, a new connection, or a daunting challenge—has led me to where I stand today. It’s all been part of a meaningful journey, woven together with gratitude, hustle, and heart.

Some days, that “yes” looks like sharing the stage with incredible leaders like Lisa Long Lyter to speak on my social media marketing expertise with Red Iron Design House at EntreCon’s Extra.

Other days, it’s standing in celebration at ribbon cuttings for monumental efforts in workforce development—like the expansion at ST Engineering or the beautifully reimagined Jupiter Bach facility.

It’s witnessing history in the signing of a land agreement between the U.S. Navy and Escambia County to improve public safety and expand fire services.

It’s walking neighborhoods alongside Commissioner Ashlee Hofberger that reminds me what true servant leadership looks like—her unwavering commitment to keeping residents informed, heard, and supported is something I deeply admire.

It’s coaching my kids’ sports teams, reading them bedtime stories, going for a run to clear my mind, or soaking up the joy of a great conversation with a friend. It’s all part of my day—and each part matters.

I’m incredibly thankful that the work I do also brings me deep joy. From the honor of serving on my school’s PTO, to volunteering in the community in any way I can, to cherishing every moment I spend with my family—this is the life I’ve chosen, and it is rich with purpose.

We are the sum of the moments we say “yes” to—each one I’ve said, each one I’ve made possible, and every “yes” that is still yet to come.

Because when we love what we do, it’s not just work—it’s wellness. It’s fulfillment. It’s a life well lived. In purpose.
