Finding Strength in Asking for Help

If you can ask for help—or even just admit you need it—you’re already ahead of many. I truly believe our greatest power lies not in what we already know, but in our willingness to learn, grow, and be teachable. That humility is where real leadership begins.

As a businesswoman, I’ve always valued being reliable, honest, hardworking, and strategic. But if I’m being honest, much of what has shaped my success didn’t come from doing it all alone—it came from the people who took the time to invest in me. I’ve been so blessed with my parents, mentors, colleagues, and friends who have shared their time, knowledge, and experience to help me grow. Their guidance didn’t just teach me new skills—it showed me the beauty of leading with both confidence and humility.

Time is such a precious resource, and I never take it lightly when someone chooses to spend theirs helping me learn.

Whether it was a mentor explaining something for the tenth time, a coworker offering advice, or a friend sharing wisdom over coffee—I’ve learned that those moments matter deeply. They build connection, confidence, and community.

There have been plenty of days when the emails felt endless and my to-do list looked impossible, yet I’ve found that stepping away to pour into people—or to be poured into—is what truly moves things forward.

A meaningful conversation or moment of guidance often provides clarity you can’t find buried in tasks.

The truth is, no one knows everything about everything—and thank goodness for that! It keeps life interesting.

When you stay open to learning, whether you’re leading a business, raising a family, or navigating personal growth, you open doors you never even knew existed.

And I’ll admit it—I’m endlessly curious. I love learning about anything and everything. I may not be an expert in all things, but I adore knowing a little about a lot. Every new insight, every lesson, and every “aha” moment adds another layer to who I’m becoming.

So here’s to asking for help, to saying “I don’t know” without fear, and to being brave enough to keep learning—no matter where you are in life. Because that willingness to grow? That’s where the real magic happens!
