For the past three years, the Escambia County Clerk’s Office has been overjoyed to host a pet supply drive benefiting local animal shelters and rescue organizations. This year, the outpouring of generosity from their team was truly remarkable, leading to the largest collection of donations yet!

With two carloads of supplies gathered, the donations were distributed to the Escambia County Animal Shelter, the Pensacola Humane Society, and A Place of Hope Small Dog Rescue. Seeing so many come together to support animals in need highlights the power of compassion and community spirit.
Escambia County Clerk and Comptroller Pam Childers, along with her leadership team, exemplifies dedication to giving back. This pet supply drive is just one of the many ways they’re making a difference this year, showing that even small acts of kindness can lead to big impacts for our furry friends.
On December 17, 2024, their team delivered the donations and experienced the joy of seeing their contributions at work. At the Pensacola Humane Society, they toured the facility and met CEO Blake White, while at A Place of Hope, they shared heartfelt moments with rescue dogs and spoke with President Francine Armstrong about their mission. At the County Animal Shelter, they even witnessed a rescue in progress, showcasing the unwavering dedication of shelter staff.
These firsthand experiences only strengthened their resolve to continue supporting these vital organizations. The Clerk’s Office is proud to give back and invites everyone to join them in making a difference. Together, we can create a brighter future for every wagging tail and hopeful paw!
