The holiday season is a time for gratitude and community, and House Representative Michelle Salzman, in partnership with Sheriff Chip Simmons, Farm Share, and numerous dedicated community partners, is stepping up to ensure that families in Escambia County have what they need to celebrate.
On Saturday, November 23rd, a Food Distribution and Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway will take place at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church starting at 7:30 AM, while supplies last. With provisions for a minimum of 300 families, this event promises to bring much-needed support to those facing difficult times.
“The holidays can be especially challenging for families who are struggling,” said Representative Michelle Salzman. “Our partners have rallied together again to create a food distribution that can also help get a family through Thanksgiving. The power of community is what we live by!”
This initiative is a true testament to the collective effort of businesses, organizations, and individuals working together to make a difference.
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to the incredible community members and partners who are making this event possible!
From donations of food and supplies to the volunteers giving their time and energy, every contribution plays a vital role in ensuring that local families can enjoy the warmth and comfort of a Thanksgiving meal.
