Are you looking for a positive, judgment-free zone to work out and meet new people?
This Saturday at 10 a.m., at Community Maritime Park, Devonté Bess will host a free workout. Bess played on the 2009 Pensacola High School Tigers state championship football team, before playing football for the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
The group organized by Bess is called Pensacola Fit Camp. This free community event is every Saturday morning.
You have the option to bring a pair of 2-5 pound dumbbells and a yoga mat. The workout is for all fitness levels.
Although Pensacola is home, Bess moved to Las Vegas after college where he created a fitness community and a health, fitness, and nutrition cafe Grit Fit Vegas: The Healthy Spot.
Bess wants to create a similar community in his hometown where people can “be themselves, smile, laugh, and get a good workout in while doing so.”
