The day-long tour will be the third for the freshman Republican since taking office in January. Prior Open Gaetz Day events were held in Pensacola and the Pace/Milton area.

Gaetz will kick off his day at 9:00 a.m. with a town hall event at KC’s Sandbar & Grille on Miracle Strip Parkway. Immediately following the town hall, Gaetz will visit the residents and staff at the Bob Hope Village Hawthorne House, then spend the next few hours touring the trauma center, ambulatory center, and aquatic therapy facilities at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

At 2:40 p.m., Gaetz will hold a closed-door military roundtable discussion at the Doolitte Institute, where topics will range from the defense budget to PTSD among servicemen and women.

Gaetz will end the day at the 10th Annual Latin Salsa Festival at Fort Walton Beach Landing, where he’ll meet and address constituents beginning at 4:00 p.m.
