Two of my favorite personal care essentials are facial care and getting my hair done! In full disclosure, I am 47 and use Tretinoin nightly to stave off fine lines and improve the overall surface of my skin.
I have had facial treatments before, but this is the first time I saw a noticeable difference in the appearance and feel of my skin.
My esthetician, Janie Rushnell, used the Diamond Glow system. Diamond Glow uses a diamond-tipped wand to exfoliate dead skin cells, deep clean pores and hydrate your skin with custom serums. Dermalinfusion adds volume to your skin, providing a more youthful appearance. It also treats acne, wrinkles, and dry skin.
When she said “diamond-tipped,” I winced thinking it would be painful. But it wasn’t painful at all. She gently guided the wand across my skin and it felt a little like very fine buffing. Simultaneously, the wand was vacuuming dead skin while infusing my skin with a hydrating serum.
I tend to turn red at the lightest touch and was impressed that my redness disappeared quickly, leaving behind extraordinarily clean and bright skin. It was truly the cleanest my skin has felt in years.
The results were immediate with friends commenting over the next 48 hours that my skin looked youthful and radiant.

Although the spa is new to downtown Pensacola, it is operated by two seasoned professionals. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Robert Scileppi has worked as an ER physician, earning a reputation for his exceptional skill, compassion, and dedication to patient care.
A chance meeting partnered him with Janie, who sold her medical spa business in south Florida in January 2023 to a private equity group, before relocating with her husband to Pensacola.
Janie with her husband, a contractor, designed and built that med spa – a stunning 5,000-square-foot facility, housing state-of-the-art medical equipment and a dedicated team of 18 employees. What started as a humble beginning grew into a premier med spa, Skintastic. Although the Rushnells moved here for retirement, Janie couldn’t pass up the opportunity to begin anew after meeting Dr. Scileppi.
In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida, Janie is a certified medical electrologist, and laser specialist, and is a CIDESCO Diplomat Master Aesthetician.
