It might be summer and school might be out, but there’s nothing wrong with a little history lesson. Especially when it’s in photo form. We’ve spent some time digging through the photo archives to find and share some of the best historical images of America’s first settlement. Unfortunately, there weren’t any cameras around when Tristan de Luna first settled Pensacola in 1559, but we’ve uncovered some great images from the city’s past. Many of these photographs date back to the early 20th century, when Pensacola was a bustling port city at the peak of its lumber boom. Take a trip back in time with us and experience what Pensacola was like a century ago.
