Rotarians Fight Hunger Today

Rotary Clubs of Northwest Florida once again joined Manna Food Bank in the fight against hunger this morning.

Rotarians Against Hunger is a project of the Combined Rotary Clubs of Pensacola (CROP) that launched in 2012. The 11th Annual Rotarians Against Hunger service project will create more than 20,000 meals that will be donated to Manna for distribution through Manna’s pantry and programs in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

With more than 100 Rotarians volunteering, the morning was spent packing nutritious lentil casserole packets. CROP’s donation will provide much-needed food to those in need.

According to Manna Executive Director DeDe Flounlacker, the project has become a critical part of their ability to meet the needs of the hungry throughout the year. Since Rotarians Against Hunger started in 2012, CROP has packed more than 731,400 meals for the hungry.
