Green Day coming to The Wharf Orange Beach

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Green Day are coming to The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach as part of the band’s Revolution Radio tour, announced Monday.

The concert, set for September 6, marks the first time the Grammy award-winning band has been in the area in more than 15 years, since playing Pensacola’s now-demolished Bayfront Auditorium back in 2001.

Members of the band’s “Idiot Nation” fan club will have access to a special ticket presale at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 13 via Ticketmaster, The Wharf Box Office, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

Green Day’s latest album, Revolution Radio, was released on October 7, 2016 and debuted at No. 1 around the world. The album features the band’s 10th No. 1 song, “Bang Bang,” and the Top 10 song “Still Breathing.”

British rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen will serve as the band’s opening act for the tour.
