Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama will tour Northwest Florida on Tuesday to stump for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, a day ahead of Trump’s planned rally in Pensacola on Wednesday.
The first U.S. Senator to endorse Trump, Sessions has served as a leading surrogate on the campaign trail and as a military, national security, and foreign policy advisor to the Republican nominee. Sessions has known Trump for more than a decade and appeared with him at an August 2015 rally in Mobile, Ala. before formally endorsing him in February of this year.
Sessions will start his day at the Donut Hole restaurant in South Walton County before heading to the East River Smoke House BBQ in Navarre. Sessions will wrap up his day-long tour at the Trump campaign’s Pensacola headquarters, where he will meet with volunteers and supporters.
First elected to the Senate in 1996, Sessions serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Armed Services Committee, Budget Committee, and Environment and Public Works Committee.
