UWF sells out for inaugural home football game

On the heels of a historic home opener and 45-0 victory against southwest Florida’s Ave Maria University, the University of West Florida Argonaut’s have set another historic milestone.


On Tuesday, the UWF athletic department has announced that Saturday’s inaugural home football game at Blue Wahoos Stadium in downtown Pensacola is officially sold out. The Argonauts will face Missouri S&T on Saturday at 6 p.m.


Limited seating and standing room only tickets are available for the remaining four home games – Oct. 1 vs. Florida Tech, Oct. 22 vs. Shorter, Oct. 29 vs. West Alabama and Nov. 12 vs. West Georgia.

University officials said Tuesday that student tickets are still available for those currently enrolled UWF students that received notification via e-mail and the Argo Armada app. The 1,000 ‘winners’ have until Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. to pick up their ticket at the Commons Service Desk on campus. Any tickets not claimed by Wednesday will be available for students at Blue Wahoos Stadium on game day. The student entrance is located on the south side of the facility.

On Saturday, Community Maritime Park opens at Noon for parking and tailgating.

The game will be broadcast on WPNN 103.7 FM & 790 AM, with a simulcast on Blab TV (WFDB).
