Labor Day weekend is the unofficial send-off to summer on the Gulf Coast, and Pensacola isn’t holding back. From Oktoberfest to bathtub races to beach fireworks, here’s where to be this weekend.

Pensacola’s largest Oktoberfest celebration returns for three days of German food, Bavarian decor and a full lineup of festival beer. Friday brings the official beer release and a commemorative stein sale, Saturday is packed with classic Oktoberfest games like stein hoist and keg toss, and Sunday wraps things up with a specialty can release of small batch German styles. Entry and parking are free all weekend.
Broadway Rave at The Handlebar
- Friday, September 4, doors at 8:00 PM, show at 8:30 PM
- The Handlebar, Pensacola
Glory Days Presents brings its Broadway dance party back to town, with sing alongs to musical theater favorites and surprise guest performers. Costumes as your favorite character are encouraged. This one is 18 and up.
Rosie O’Grady’s Dueling Piano Show
- Friday and Saturday, September 4 and 5, doors at 7:00 PM
- Seville Quarter, Downtown Pensacola
If you want a night out before the beach takes over the weekend, this is the move. High energy dueling pianos, sing alongs and requests make this one of downtown’s most reliable Friday and Saturday nights.

- Five Flags Speedway, Pensacola
Exactly what it sounds like. Vendors, crafts and flea market finds fill the speedway grounds for a morning of local shopping.
- Saturday, September 5, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza, Downtown Pensacola
Downtown’s award-winning farmers market runs every Saturday rain or shine, and this weekend is no exception. Expect fresh produce, local meat and cheese, baked goods, live plants and dozens of area artists set up under the shade trees on Palafox.
- Sunday, September 6, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Bamboo Willie’s, Pensacola Beach
One of the beach’s weirder and more beloved traditions returns. Teams race homemade bathtub vessels across the water while crowds pack the Boardwalk to watch, making for an easy, fun afternoon stop before the evening fireworks.
LDW at Laguna’s, featuring Flux Pavilion
- Sunday, September 6, 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM
- Laguna’s Beach Bar and Grill, Pensacola Beach
Laguna’s closes out the holiday weekend with an EDM lineup headlined by Flux Pavilion, with Yookie also on the bill. This one is 18 and up, so plan accordingly.
Labor Day Weekend Fireworks on Pensacola Beach
- Sunday, September 6, 8:00 PM
- Pensacola Beach
The beach sends off summer with fireworks over Santa Rosa Sound. Good viewing spots include the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk, Quietwater Beach and nearby waterfront areas, so grab a spot early.
End of Summer Fireworks Cruise
- Sunday, September 6, evening departure ahead of the 8:00 PM show
- Departing Pensacola Beach aboard Frisky Mermaid
For a different view of the fireworks, this cruise puts guests out on the water for the show. It’s a nice option if the Boardwalk crowds aren’t your scene.
Card Town Pensacola Labor Day Showcase
- Monday, September 7, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds, Building 6
Round two of Pensacola’s newest trading card show wraps up the holiday weekend. Sports cards, Pokemon, TCG, One Piece and sports memorabilia are all on the floor, with free parking and $5 entry. Kids 15 and under get in free.
Labor Day weekend goes fast, but between the beach, downtown and everything in between, there’s no shortage of ways to close out the summer right.
