The Pensacola Humane Society is seeking sponsors and vendors for the 20th Annual Barktoberfest, one of the Gulf Coast’s largest pet-friendly festivals and the organization’s second-largest fundraiser of the year.
Presented by Action Therapy Group (Beagle Benefactor sponsor) and Bob Tyler Toyota (Bow Wow Backyard sponsor), Barktoberfest will take place Sunday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Seville Square and Fountain Park in Downtown Pensacola. Businesses, organizations, and community partners are invited to support the milestone event through sponsorships and vendor participation.
Since its debut 20 years ago, Barktoberfest has raised awareness for homeless pets while generating critical funding to support the Pensacola Humane Society’s mission of caring for animals and helping them find loving homes. In 2025, Barktoberfest saw an estimated 4,500 event visitors and featured more than 70 vendors, including pet-centric and local area businesses, veterinary practices, animal rescue organizations, and shelters offering adoption opportunities. It is one of the major fundraisers for Pensacola Humane Society.
“As we celebrate 20 years of Barktoberfest, we’re inviting businesses and community partners to join us in making an even greater impact for homeless animals,” said Mary Donovan McClellan, Vice President of Development for Pensacola Humane Society. “On average, it costs our shelter more than $1,400 for every animal we intake. That’s why sponsorships and donations are such an important part of Barktoberfest. Every dollar stays right here to provide shelter, medical care, and the opportunity for more pets to find loving families.”
Sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels and provide businesses with visibility before, during, and after the event while directly supporting animal welfare in the Pensacola community. Vendor applications are also now being accepted.
