Another weekend, another packed lineup of things to do around Pensacola.
From the UWF Argos making Division I football history to a final round of Dog Days of Summer, a sunrise 5K on the water, and a Dolly Parton celebration of life to close it out, here is everything worth putting on your calendar for August 28-30.
Dog Days of Summer: Pickleball, Pups & Good Vibes

- Time: Adoption event 8-10 AM, Open Play all day, Vendor Market 8 AM-12 PM
- Location: Portside Pickle, 740 Commendencia St, Pensacola
The final Dog Days of Summer of the season closes out with a bang at Portside Pickle. Grab a $20 Open Play Pass and $10 goes straight to the Pensacola Humane Society, meet adoptable pups from the mobile adoption truck, shop the local vendor market, and fuel up with burgers from Harry’s Proper Burger. Portside is capping the summer-long partnership with a big final donation to the Humane Society, so this is the one to show up for.
UWF Argos Football: Home Opener vs. Southern Illinois

- Location: Pen Air Stadium, 11000 University Parkway, Pensacola
UWF makes history with its first-ever Division I football game, and it’s a White Out. Grab your white gear and head to Pen Air Stadium to cheer the Argos on against Southern Illinois in what promises to be an electric night for the university and the city.
Run Roast Refresh at Blue Wahoos Amphitheater

- Time: 8-11 AM (5K and HYROX challenge begin at 8:15 AM)
- Location: Blue Wahoos Amphitheater, 351 W Cedar St, Pensacola
A morning of movement and wellness on the waterfront. Join the optional 5K, 1 mile walk, or HYROX challenge, then spend the rest of the morning bouncing between more than 30 wellness activations including barre, yoga, kickboxing, cold plunges, and giveaways from two dozen local partners. Tickets include free lattes, recovery treats, and screenings, and a portion of every ticket supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida.
10th Annual Hand-Blown Glass Seconds Sale
- Date: Saturday, August 29
- Time: 10 AM-5 PM
- Location: 260 S Tarragona St, Pensacola
A decade in, this sale is a Pensacola favorite for art lovers and holiday shoppers alike. Browse one-off prototypes, discontinued series, and perfectly imperfect hand-blown glass pieces at prices you will not see the rest of the year. Entry is free.

- Location: Fort Pickens Visitor Center parking lot, Gulf Islands National Seashore
The biggest park cleanup of the year returns as Gulf Islands National Seashore teams up with Ocean Hour and Third Coast Divers to clear the Fort Pickens Fishing Pier and surrounding beaches. Volunteers get a free day pass, a special edition poster, and the good feeling of leaving the coast better than they found it. Registration at volunteer.gov is required by August 27.
Dolly Celebration of Life at The Rooftop

- Location: The Rooftop, Pensacola
Raise a glass to the Queen of Country. The Rooftop is spinning all of Dolly’s greatest hits with a DJ set running from 3 to 6 PM, so bring your best twang and something sparkly to sip.

A lineup of local vendors and artists sets up shop right in the heart of downtown for a laid back Sunday of shopping and browsing.

Florida’s own Noiseheads bring a decade of DIY grit and 90s alternative influenced songwriting to The Handlebar, joined by ihatesundays and Mother’s Milk. Expect a live show that swings from intimate to cathartic without a single gimmick in sight.
It’s A 2000s Party at Vinyl Music Hall

Y2K fashion and the decade’s biggest pop, hip hop, and rock hits take over Vinyl Music Hall for a night that spans Britney Spears to Eminem and everything in between.
Friday Night Wine Tastings on Baylen
