Local Pulse Weekend Top 10

Pensacola turns up the volume this weekend as Vintage Culture, the globally acclaimed Brazilian DJ and Tomorrowland mainstage headliner, brings his sound to Zam’s Volume 1 Block Party. And that’s just Sunday.

The weekend also welcomes hometown hero and American Idol standout Keyla Richardson to the Saenger Theatre, run with the bulls at Seville Quarter’s 15th Annual Running with the Bulls, and roars into the Bay Center for Monster Jam. From a Kids Rave at Laguna’s to a Shark in the Park movie night on the water, this weekend has a little of something for everyone.

ZAM GOOD RALLY

Zam’s takes the party to the neighborhood with a community street takeover featuring giveaways, good vibes, and their signature Zam energy. Sign up for the Zam’s loyalty program on their website for the inside scoop on events and more.

HALF WAY TO PAW-DI GRAS KARAOKE NIGHT

Perfect Plain Brewing hosts a laid-back karaoke night celebrating Half Way to Paw-di Gras. Sing a song, meet the Paw-di Gras crew, and learn how to get involved as a sponsor, vendor, volunteer, parade participant, or spectator. Karaoke by Watts Up Entertainment. Free and open to the public. Well-behaved, leashed dogs welcome.

SEVILLE’S 15TH ANNUAL RUNNING WITH THE BULLS

Get ready to run for your life, in the most fun way possible. Pensacola’s take on Pamplona’s Festival of San Fermín swaps real bulls for roller derby skaters from West Florida Roller Derby, decked out in horns, skates, and plastic bats. Runners dress in all white and dash through a 2K course in Downtown Pensacola before celebrating at Seville Quarter. Family-friendly, with VIP experiences and Libation Station options available. Proceeds benefit West Florida Roller Derby.

RUN, ROAST & REFRESH: BLUE WAHOOS AMPHITHEATER EDITION

Pensacola’s signature wellness social returns to the Blue Wahoos Amphitheater with six live fitness and recovery classes, cold plunges, 30+ wellness activations, free specialty iced lattes and energy drinks, backyard games, a live DJ, an optional 5K/1-mile walk, and a HYROX challenge. Plus raffles and giveaways from local partners. A portion of every ticket benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida.

SHARK IN THE PARK MOVIE NIGHT

Ticket packages include a game ticket, an exclusive Shark in the Park T-shirt, and an inflatable tube for the ultimate movie-on-the-water experience.

KEYLA RICHARDSON AT THE SAENGER THEATRE

Hometown hero Keyla Richardson takes the Saenger stage for a night Pensacola won’t forget. The Pensacola-born gospel singer, music teacher, and American Idol Season 24 standout captivated millions with her stirring audition of P!nk’s “Glitter in the Air,” which brought Luke Bryan to tears and earned a unanimous Golden Ticket. Lionel Richie has called her work some of the best he’s ever seen on the show. Raised in Pensacola’s church choirs, Richardson previously earned a Top 4 finish on BET’s Sunday Best and scored a #1 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart with her 2020 EP So Good. A devoted single mother to son Drew and longtime teacher at Life Shifting Learning Academy, she’s Pensacola’s pride and one of the most exciting voices in music today.

MONSTER JAM

ZAM’S VOLUME 1 BLOCK PARTY FEAT. VINTAGE CULTURE

Vintage Culture is coming to Pensacola. The globally renowned Brazilian producer and DJ, best known for headlining Tomorrowland’s mainstage and topping global dance charts, brings his signature melodic house sound to Zam’s Volume 1 Block Party. It’s an unmissable moment for Pensacola’s dance music scene, and one of the biggest international acts to hit the city all year. The event also kicks off Zam’s Sessions, a new live music series celebrating the restaurant’s grand opening, with special guests Zewmob and local DJs. Beats, eats, giveaways, and Zam energy all afternoon and evening.

PORTSIDE PICKLE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

Portside Pickle and the Pensacola Humane Society team up for a waterfront Sunday morning with open-play pickleball, adoptable pups from the mobile adoption truck, foster-to-adopt opportunities, dog-bowl cornhole, local pet vendors, and food trucks. A portion of court fees benefits the Humane Society.
