Kick off Father’s Day weekend at The Hideaway Beach Bar with their second annual Dad Jokes & Drafts, a waterfront celebration built for dads, their crews, and anyone who appreciates a truly terrible pun delivered with confidence. The day starts in Saturday June 20th at 12:00 p.m. with a high-energy DJ set by DJ Shabastin, cold drafts pouring, yard games on deck, and beach volleyball for those who show up with something to prove. The highlight of the evening is Dad Joke Trivia, running from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Hosted by local comedian and father Dave Longval of Everything is Funny comedy club, the trivia features teams of up to six people competing for bragging rights and more than a few well-earned giggles.
Teams are encouraged to bring a creative, on-theme name to the table. Pre-registration is not required; teams can sign up on-site starting 15 minutes before trivia begins. It’s first-come, first-served, so claim your spot early. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams!
On the food front, dads and kids alike will find something worth showing up for. The Bacon My Day burger stacks a 7oz Angus beef patty with applewood-smoked bacon, cheddar, caramelized onions, and secret sauce on a brioche bun.
