Pensacola wedding and event planners are being invited behind the scenes of two of North Hill’s most talked-about historic restoration projects, including a first look at the future vision for the Baylen Street House as a boutique wedding and event venue.
On Thursday, May 28 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Nannette Chandler of Chandler & Company Construction will host a private tour of The Gilded Lady and the Baylen Street House, two historic properties that are being transformed into immersive hospitality and event spaces in the heart of Pensacola.
Designed with weddings, retreats, celebrations, and full-property experiences in mind, the spaces are being thoughtfully restored to allow guests to do more than simply host an event, but truly stay and experience it.
“One of the best parts is that you have the option to stay at your venue and not be rushed out at the end of the ceremony,” Chandler shared. “Enjoy Pensacola for a few days or more. Customize your trip and ceremony.”
The vision for the properties includes overnight accommodations for bridal parties and families, intimate gathering spaces, historic gardens, and preserved architectural details that create an atmosphere unlike a traditional venue.
The Gilded Lady is already open and welcoming guests, and has already hosted wedding stays on the property, giving couples and families the opportunity to slow down, stay together, and fully experience the celebration.
Additional enhancements are currently underway across the campus, including a new bride’s cottage designed for wedding mornings and bridal party stays, along with plans for a beautiful terrazzo-style pool and expanded outdoor gathering spaces to further elevate the guest experience.

“Your milestone moments under a historic canopy,” reads one phrase Chandler is considering as the projects continue taking shape.
Another describes the feeling guests can expect:

Future event opportunities could include weddings, bridal showers, family reunions, military retirement ceremonies, and other meaningful celebrations rooted in Pensacola history and charm.
Guests attending the private tour will have the opportunity to walk the properties, hear what’s ahead for bookings and restoration plans, and experience firsthand the details that are difficult to capture online.
“There are so many details you simply have to see in person to fully understand the vision,” Chandler said.
The invitation-only afternoon is open to wedding planners, event professionals, vendors, and creatives interested in future collaborations and bookings.
