The mission will depart on Thursday, April 23, 2026, and return home on Friday, April 24, 2026, offering the community two opportunities to show their support. While both events are open to the public, attendees are especially encouraged to join the welcome home celebration on April 24 to cheer on these incredible veterans as they return from their trip to Washington, D.C. It’s a simple but powerful way to say thank you, and to show them just how much their service means to our community. Bring your family, flags, and signs, and help us give them a warm welcome home.

Honor Flight is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to transporting veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor, recognizing their service to our country.

As a city with deep military ties, Pensacola International Airport is honored to support this meaningful event. The Northwest Florida Patriot Riders and ROTC cadets from the University of West Florida will participate in a ceremonial flag line, welcoming the veterans with a show of respect and gratitude.
