The Lauren’s Kids Foundation invites the Pensacola community to take a stand against child sexual abuse by participating in the 2026 “Walk in My Shoes” event, part of a powerful 1,500-mile trek across Florida.
Held during both National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month – and spanning the entire state of Florida – the initiative encourages individuals of all ages and abilities to participate. Whether walking a single block or several miles, each step helps raise awareness, educate communities, and empower survivors.
Walk in My Shoes – Pensacola Event Details:
Date: Wednesday, April 22, 2026 Start Location: Gulf Coast Kids House Inc. (3401 N 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32503) Registration: 8:00 AM Walk Begins: 9:00 AM
Participants will embark on a 3-mile walk to Town & Country Shopping Plaza (3300 N Pace Blvd), with the option to continue along the full 7-mile route to Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Resource Center Park (913 South I Street).
An Uber code will be provided to cover transportation back from the walk.
