Food Crush: Sugar Daddy Donuts on Pensacola Beach

If your perfect beach morning includes something sweet and happy children (and adults) there’s a new stop you’ll want to add to your rotation.

Located right on Casino Beach, put front of The Dock, locally owned Sugar Daddy Donuts is serving up mini gourmet donuts that are as fun as they are addictive. Think classic favorites reimagined with toppings like cereal, Reese’s Pieces, strawberry syrup, banana pudding and more. The kind of place where ordering one flavor isn’t really an option and honestly, not recommended.

The concept behind Sugar Daddy Donuts is just as thoughtful as the menu. The shop was founded by three owners Shannon, Ash, and Eric, each bringing a different background to the table.

Shannon spent over two decades in engineering before relocating to the Gulf Coast to pursue something more hands-on and community-driven, while Ash who grew up on Pensacola Beach was inspired by a small donut shop experience with his family that stuck long after the vacation ended. Eric then added his marketing expertise and longtime friendship with Ash to help bring the vision to life.

Together, they’ve created more than just a donut shop, it’s a place built around experience. From the smell of fresh donuts to the playful, anything-goes approach to flavors, it’s designed to be part of your beach day, not just a quick stop.

They’re also serving smoothies and fresh lemonade for a beach cool down alongside your donuts before heading back out to the water.

Sugar Daddy Donuts is open daily from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., making it an easy early-morning stop or an afternoon treat.

Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this is one of those places where the only real move is to try as many flavors as you can. Trust us, you’ll want to.
