Pensacola’s Finest Foundation celebrated a successful inaugural gala and awards ceremony on Feb. 19, raising more than $69,000 to support the men and women of the Pensacola Police Department.
Held at the Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Resource Center and emceed by Brent Lane, the evening brought together community leaders, businesses and residents for a powerful show of support for local law enforcement. The event highlighted the Foundation’s mission to strengthen the partnership between the Pensacola Police Department and the community while providing resources that enhance officer safety, wellness and effectiveness.
The program featured a performance by the UWF Jazz Ensemble, a presentation of colors by the Pensacola Police Honor Guard and recognition of outstanding service within the department. Awards presented during the evening included Officer of the Year, awarded to Detective Amanda Robinson, along with recognition of civilian and sworn personnel for their leadership and dedication.
Funds raised during the event will directly support key initiatives, including officer wellness programs, community outreach efforts, the K-9 program and hardship assistance for officers and their families.
“The success of this inaugural gala reflects the strong connection between our community and the Pensacola Police Department,” said Don Hanto, president of Pensacola’s Finest Foundation. “This support ensures our officers have the tools, training and resources they need to serve at the highest level.”
“This level of community support energizes our entire department,” said Chief Eric Winstrom. “It strengthens our ability to serve, supports our officers and their families, and reinforces the partnership that makes Pensacola such a strong and connected community.”
Since its founding in 2021, Pensacola’s Finest Foundation has worked alongside the community to provide critical support for law enforcement, including funding for equipment, K-9 units and community engagement programs.
Pensacola’s Finest Foundation plans to build on this momentum with continued fundraising and community engagement efforts throughout the year.
