What was once known as the traditional “trifecta weekend” of Mardi Gras parades has evolved into something even bigger. The 2026 Pensacola Mardi Gras Season, presented by the Ice Flyers Foundation, now culminates in a multi-day Mardi Gras Grand Finale, kicking off with the Mardi Gras Mambo and carrying through the final parades and celebrations of the season across downtown Pensacola and Pensacola Beach.
The Mardi Gras Grand Finale Week officially begins Thursday, February 12, with the Mardi Gras Mambo at the Pensacola Bay Center. This high-energy Mardi Gras party delivers a concert-style experience featuring headliner Waka Flocka Flame, along with performances by the Ying Yang Twins and DJ Jazzy Jeff. Additional entertainment includes the New Orleans Ramblers, Mr. Big & the Rhythm Sisters, and DJ Mr. Lao, creating an unforgettable night of music, spectacle, and celebration.
As Pensacola Mardi Gras celebrates its 25th Anniversary Season, the Mardi Gras Mambo will also feature special on-stage recognition and ceremonial moments honoring local Mardi Gras krewes based on their age and legacy. The Mambo has quickly become one of the most anticipated nights of the season, blending music, pageantry, and Mardi Gras tradition into one unforgettable party featuring nationally recognized recording artists.
The Grand Finale continues on Friday night with the Krewe of Lafitte Illuminated Parade, a nighttime spectacle featuring glowing floats and marching groups. Streets along the parade route will begin closing at 4:00 PM, with the parade stepping off at 7:30 PM, lighting up downtown Pensacola with color, movement, and Mardi Gras magic.
The highlight of the weekend—and the entire Mardi Gras season—arrives on Saturday, February 14, 2026, with the 2026 Pensacola Grand Mardi Gras Parade, produced by the Pensacola Mardi Gras Foundation. Parade lineup will begin at 10:00 AM. Roads will start closing at 10:00 AM and will be fully closed by 12:00 PM.
Beginning at approximately 1:50 PM, the Adams Homes Countdown to the Parade will take place at the Adams Homes corporate headquarters on Garden Street, just east of Spring Street. The countdown will include a community prayer for safety, the performance of the National Anthem, and the introduction of celebrity guests and featured parade entries, including the UWF National Champion Golf Team and new President Manny Diaz. The parade will roll promptly at 2:00 PM, rain or shine. Thousands of riders, walkers, bands, and krewes will fill Downtown Pensacola in what is widely considered the largest day of the year for the city.
This year’s Grand Parade will feature a temporarily modified route as the Reimagine Palafox project is underway. Instead of turning south on Palafox Street at Garden Street, the parade will travel east on Garden Street to Jefferson Street, then turn south on Jefferson Street and conclude at Main Street.
Spectators are encouraged to arrive early for parking and to pay close attention to road closures, which will begin around 5:00 PM on Friday, February 13, and 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 14. Completing the trifecta of parades, the Krewe of Wrecks Parade will roll along Pensacola Beach on Sunday, February 15, stepping off at 2:00 PM and bringing Mardi Gras flair to the coast.
The season concludes on Fat Tuesday, February 17, with the Fat Tuesday Celebration presented by Wind Creek. This final night of the Grand Finale transforms Seville Quarter into the French Quarter, with some of Pensacola’s best krewes taking over individual rooms throughout the venue. The evening serves as the final conclusion to the Grand Finale and the 2026 Mardi Gras season, featuring a review of the year, a presentation of awards to Krewes that participated in competitions throughout the season, the crowning of the incoming Priscus Royalty for the 2027 season, and a special Mardi Gras drag show produced by Polkadot Entertainment.
