Golden Elite Track & Field Club has been awarded the bid to
host the AAU Junior Olympic Regional Qualifier for Track & Field, scheduled for June 18–21, 2026, at Pine Forest High School in Pensacola, Florida.
This marks the first time an AAU Junior Olympic Regional Qualifier has beenhosted in Northwest Florida, positioning the region as a new hub for eliteyouth track and field competition.
The four-day event is expected to draw nearly 1,000 athletes, ages 8U through 18U, along with a Masters Division, representing Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. Thousands of family members, coaches, officials, and spectators are also anticipated to attend.
Beyond athletic competition, the event is projected to generate a
significant economic impact for the Pensacola area, including hotel stays, dining, transportation, and local tourism activity. Hosting a regional-level AAU event brings substantial tourism dollars into the community while elevating Northwest Florida’s profile as a destination for large-scale sporting events.
Founded in 2003, Golden Elite Track & Field Club has a long history of developing youth athletes while emphasizing academics, character, and community engagement. Hosting the AAU Junior Olympic Regional Qualifier reflects the organization’s continued growth and its capacity to manage high-level, multi-day athletic events.
Golden Elite is currently seeking corporate sponsors, community partners, and volunteers to support the successful execution of the event. Sponsorship opportunities range from financial contributions to in-kind support, while volunteers will be needed across multiple operational areas throughout the four days of competition.
