Pensacola’s animal-loving community is rallying once again as WolfGang LLC kicks off its annual Christmas Shelter Gift Drive, an effort dedicated to making sure every animal currently housed at the Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare shelter receives comfort, enrichment, and a little holiday magic.
This year’s goal: 300 gifts — one for every animal spending the holidays in the shelter.
Running from November 7th through December 20th, the drive invites locals to donate items that directly support the wellbeing, warmth, and happiness of shelter pets.
Donations should be new and can include:
• Fleece blankets
• Plush dog toys
• Rope toys
• Kong-style toys
• Cat wands & plush cat toys
• Bags of cat & dog treats
• Enrichment toys
Each item helps reduce stress, provide comfort, and enrich the daily life of animals waiting for adoption.

Why This Drive Matters
Shelter animals often spend long hours in kennels, and something as simple as a blanket or a plush toy can dramatically transform their day. Soft bedding provides warmth and security; toys offer mental stimulation and joy; treats make training easier and help staff connect with the animals.
These small comforts add up to healthier, happier animals — and animals who are more adoptable.
How to Get Involved
