Planning for the 2026 Pensacola Mardi Gras Season presented by the Ice Flyers Foundation is well underway, and Pensacola Mardi Gras (“PMG”) is excited to host the second and final City-Wide Planning Meeting. The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Phineas Phoggs inside Seville Quarter. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with a cash bar, and the meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. This event is FREE, open to the public, and serves as an opportunity for the general public, Krewe members, vendors, and local businesses to learn more about Pensacola’s Mardi Gras season.
A major focus of this meeting will be the Fat Tuesday Celebration taking place at Seville Quarter on Tuesday, February 17, 2025. Each year, local Krewes decorate and host the rooms inside Seville, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere to close out the Mardi Gras season. At this City-Wide Planning Meeting, the Krewes that wish to participate will draw for and finalize their room assignments for Fat Tuesday. It is very important that all Krewes who want to host and decorate a room send a representative to the meeting, as only those in attendance will be entered into the drawing and given the opportunity to decorate a room.
Danny Zimmern, President of Pensacola Mardi Gras, will host the meeting and lead the discussion on City-Wide events and upcoming opportunities. “The City-Wide Meetings are one of the best ways for our Krewes and businesses to come together and share ideas,” said Zimmern. “This is where the creativity, planning, and collaboration really starts to come to life, and it’s how we make each season bigger and better for the entire community.”
The microphone will be open to Krewes who wish to promote their events, as well as to businesses, vendors, and organizations that cater to the Mardi Gras community. This includes costume and float vendors, caterers, musicians, photographers, decorators, and any other groups that support or participate in Pensacola’s Mardi Gras celebrations. There will be an open forum to present, share updates, and allow for questions and answers. This is a chance to learn what other Krewes are doing, a chance for businesses to connect directly with the Mardi Gras community, and an opportunity for anyone interested in being part of Pensacola’s Mardi Gras season to get involved.
The 2026 Pensacola Mardi Gras Season presented by the Ice Flyers Foundation begins with the Kick-Off Celebration on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in Downtown Pensacola. The Kick-Off Celebration welcomes the Mardi Gras season and includes the traditional blessing of the Krewe fleet and free King Cake for the public. Krewes and their floats will be lined up in Downtown Pensacola, and a Royal Processional will 2nd Line through the streets blessing those Krewes. The traditional Mardi Gras Kick-Off will include a blessing of the Krewes, the community, and will of course feature the ceremonial official king cake cutting, officially opening the Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties Mardi Gras’ celebrations.
The Grand Finale to the Mardi Gras Season starts off with the Pensacola Mardi Gras Mambo on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Pensacola Bay Center.
The fun continues with the Krewe of Lafitte Parade on Friday, February 13, 2026, in the streets of Downtown Pensacola. On Saturday, February 14, 2026, the highly anticipated Grand Mardi Gras Parade will take place. This parade hosts hundreds of entries and will entertain tens of thousands of revelers. The Pensacola Mardi Gras celebration prides itself on being safe and family friendly while remaining entertaining for adults.
