Things are heating up ahead of Pensacola Eggfest 2025 and not just on the grills.
Escambia County Sheriff’s Office has competed in Pensacola Eggfest for quite a few years. But now, Sheriff Chip Simmons has officially called out local firefighters to face off in this year’s all-new First Responder Division at Pensacola Eggfest. 
In 2022 these two fierce teams competed in the Iron Egg Chef Battle and ECSO took home the trophy. Will the firefighters be up for another match up on the big day?
Last week, we announced a new non-profit/ministry division at Pensacola Eggfest. This new category gives law enforcement, fire departments, EMTs, and other first responders the chance to compete head-to-head, proving who really knows how to handle the heat.
“Firefighters talk a big game,” Sheriff Simmons joked. “But this year, we’ll see who’s really got the best recipe and the bragging rights that come with it!”
Pensacola Eggfest, held at the Hadji Shrine, brings together teams from across the Gulf Coast to serve up mouthwatering BBQ and sides, all while raising money for local charities. With the new first responder division, the competition, and the community spirit, are stronger than ever.

Pensacola Eggfest will take place at Noon (or earlier if you snag a VIP ticket which are 90% sold out), Sunday November 16th, 2025, at Hadji Temple, 800 W 9 Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32534. The event hosts BBQ teams and backyard cooks from all over the United States who share two things: a love of cooking and the joy of giving back to their communities.
