Pensacola’s food truck scene is always heating up, and our Food Crush team just had one of the tastiest afternoons on Michigan Avenue.
This time around, the crew was myself, Doug Jolly, Buck Mitchell, and Luke Gipp (all from Pensacola Eggfest), plus guest crushers Cory Tucker (Local Pulse’s newest columnist) and the one and only Brent Lane — yes, that Brent Lane, your favorite Pensacola radio personality. Together, we set out to taste test not one, but two of Pensacola’s most buzz-worthy trucks: Something Asian and Greazy Burger.
Something Asian
If you’re craving comfort with a twist, Something Asian delivers paradise on a plate. Their concept is a creative fusion of Asian and Hawaiian flavors, built from family recipes and served in generous, hearty portions.
We sampled just about everything we could get our hands on including: BBQ chicken and beef plates, lumpia, kimchi fried rice, garlic fried rice, and their fan-favorite mac salad. The plates were the real stars: perfectly grilled chicken, tender beef, and a special Doug can’t stop talking about crispy, juicy fried pork belly.
And just when we thought we were full, dessert arrived. Soy sauce ice cream. Sounds surprising, but trust us, it’s the salty-sweet combination we never knew we needed. Think salted caramel, but better.
Greazy Burger
Just behind Something Asian is another food truck, Greazy Burger. These are classic smash burgers, made simple and made right — all at a price point that makes them one of the best values in town.
Our crew dove into the traditional cheese smash burger and a bleu cheese burger that had just the right kick. Juicy, messy, and oh-so-satisfying, these burgers easily hold their own against any of the top-tier burger joints in Pensacola.

Between soy sauce ice cream, fried pork belly, and burgers that made us forget our table manners, it’s safe to say this Food Crush was a double win. If you’re near Michigan Avenue, treat yourself! You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next trip back.
