When the Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation approached Red Iron Design House about social media services for the 7th annual Cat Country Cares for Kids Radiothon, presented by Hanto & Clarke General Contractors, matched by Gulf Winds Credit Union, it was an easy yes. Red Iron worked on the Radiothon in 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed it — they knew they wanted to make a bigger impact in 2025.
Local Pulse Pensacola and Red Iron Design share some of the same owners, team members and clients and we are always looking for ways to support each other. Our clients are some of the most giving, community minded and kind-hearted people we have had the honor of working with in Pensacola.
When they found out Red Iron would be doing social for the Radiothon and that Local Pulse was hosting a Facebook live at the event, our clients wanted to be involved. Hanto & Clarke eagerly stepped up to be the presenting sponsor for the second year in a row, Dog House committed to running their Burgers for Babies campaign for the second year in a row, The Global Grill and Beré Jewelers agreed to be hosts for the HeART to HeART Art Exhibit and Fundraiser, Pensacola Eggfest agreed to cook at the event and donate every dollar earned and a majority of the others committed to visiting the hospital that day and bringing donations.
During our Local Pulse Live show, which you can watch here, our Red Iron Design and Local Pulse family quadrupled the amount of money they raised last year. Combined, our clients gave $12,600 in donations. If you include the totals from Pensacola Eggfest and HeART to HeART this amount increases to $22,767! We’re so thankful, but not the least bit surprised, because generosity is who they are.

The 7th annual Cat Country Cares for Kids Radiothon, presented by Hanto & Clarke General Contractors, raised $301,400 to acquire state-of-the-art equipment that utilizes heat to treat tumors or epilepsy — a first for Northwest Florida.

Hosted by Cat Country 98.7’s Team (including Brent Lane, Jordan Glass, and Chris Clare) and WEAR ABC 3 News Pensacola’s Sue Straughn, the one-day broadcast featured heartfelt stories from patient families and highlighted the critical role the Children’s Hospital plays in delivering advanced, compassionate care close to home.
All of the funds raised will directly support Laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT), a minimally invasive, precision-guided laser therapy that offers new hope for children with complex brain tumors and epilepsy. The technology allows for safer, more effective treatment, improving outcomes and quality of life while reducing the need for open surgery.
Everyday we are inspired by the compassion of our clients and the same can be said about the hundreds of others who played a part in Friday’s success.
“Year after year, I am deeply moved by the remarkable generosity of our community,” said Adrienne Maygarden, president of Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation. “The community’s commitment to advancing care for children in Northwest Florida is truly inspiring. I’m grateful to the families who courageously share their stories. These children are true miracles, and it is a privilege to highlight the exceptional care they receive at Studer Family Children’s Hospital.”
