In May, Lisa introduced you to River Woods Ranch where the second largest heard of cracker cattle being raised. Located in Jay, Fl, this up-and-coming farm-to-table community is expected to mirror the likes of a picturesque community in GA called Serenbe. Think luxury, nature, slow-paced living, and a healthier lifestyle at your fingertips.
Since May, River Woods Ranch has teamed up with local businesses including The Farm of Pensacola who is the retailer for River Woods Ranch cracker cattle beef, Alla Prima Coffee who has developed an exclusive coffee blend, and now something refreshing is bubbling up. In a unique collaboration with Big Jerk Soda, RWR is working to create a brand-new soda that reflects the natural flavors and heritage of the land.
Today, River Woods Ranch hosted a private taste testing event with a group of friends and partners who share their passion for locally rooted experiences. Guests included Sandy and Matthew from The Farm of Pensacola, Mike Clarke of Hanto and Clark General Contractors, Zach Noel from Clear Title NWFL, Lisa and Karen from Local Pulse and Red Iron Design House, James and Brooke Briscione, and, of course, the RWR staff.

The tasting lineup featured three thoughtfully crafted flavors:
Muscadine Lemonade
Winter Honey Cider
Yaupon Peach Tea

Each one was inspired by the essence of River Woods Ranch from native plants to seasonal notes and Southern charm. In true collaborative spirit, Big Jerk Soda does not attend blind tastings, allowing the feedback to flow freely and honestly.
All notes and reactions are being sent back to the Big Jerk team as they get ready to refine and finalize the first release.
Which flavor will be unveiled first? Stay tuned, it’s going to be something special.

As for the further development of River Woods Ranch, the initial groundwork for the vineyard has begun, two new calves have joined the herd, the cracker cattle have been moved to a new area where they can continue to forage to their hearts desire, and dreams of this future community continue to flourish.
