I LOVE my dogs. I do not love washing my dogs. There is nothing fun about holding them in one place while simultaneously trying to spray the hose, scrub them down and not throw your back out while doing it. Over the last few weeks, I have driven past the On the Run Carwash at Cervantes and Scenic and noticed a brand new DIY dog washing station.
Last week I had an hour of free time and a smelly dog so decided to give it a go. This is everything a dog owner dreams of and more! For just $10 you can treat your furry friend to a bath using shampoo, rinse, condition rinse, flea control — yes, there is even a flea and tick shampoo — and a blow dry. The shower hose water was lukewarm with the shampoo and different soaps mixed in allowing for an extra sudsy bath. The dog washing station is located inside a small fenced in area as well so you can rest assured your four legged friend is safe before and after their bath.
In addition to the dog washing station, On the Run Carwash is, of course, a carwash. Their self-service carwash and vacuums are available 24/7 and priced affordably. More recently, they began a hand washing service where customers can drop off their car (or stay inside) while they wash your car for you.
