Home Runs for Homes: Pensacola Habitat Hosts Fundraiser with Blue Wahoos

Pensacola Habitat for Humanity is continuing its strong partnership with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos by staffing concessions stands, selling 50/50 tickets, participating in on-field activities and games, handing out free giveaways at the gate, cheering on the home team and so much more. In addition to Pensacola Habitat for Humanity’s presence at the game, the Blue Wahoos will be wearing celebrating Independence Day with a postgame fireworks show and special jerseys that pay tribute to the original uniform of the United States Navy.

This amazing night is a perfect combination of America’s pastime, some Fourth of July fun and one of the most exciting fundraisers in our community, said Ben Boynton, Pensacola Habitat for Humanity’s Communications Manager. “We are honored to continue partnering with the Blue Wahoos for such a special event. With all the exciting things we have planned for the night, we think we’ll really knock it out of the park while raising money for our mission.”

To help raise money, Pensacola Habitat for Humanity is selling special, discounted tickets to the game. 100% of all proceeds from tickets purchased through Pensacola Habitat for Humanity will go right back into funding its mission. The funds raised by the Takeover Night are part of Pensacola Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build campaign. By partnering with the Blue Wahoos and RS3 Strategic Hospitality, Women Builders raise money towards their fundraising goals all season long in the concessions stands, with the partnership contributing over $135,000 in donations since the start of the 2023 season.
