Dancing with Purpose
It was a true honor to represent the Escambia County District 4 Office at the First Pensacola Coronation, where we gave respect to our city’s founding settler, Tristan de Luna. And in the most poetic twist of fate, what better way to honor that legacy than by bringing in another Tristan—Tristan MacManus, beloved judge from Dancing With the Stars, to take the stage with Victor Luna and myself at Life’s A Dance Pensacola’s 2025 Benefit Dance Showcase.
Yes, the stars are aligning—quite literally—and they’re shining brightly for a cause that’s close to all our hearts.
At its core, Life’s A Dance 2025 is more than a performance. It’s a joyful, soulful, and powerful act of giving. It’s movement that matters. Each dance routine, every standing ovation, and all the glitz and glamour are woven together with a purpose: to ensure that no child in Escambia County goes hungry. Not during the school year, and not during the summer. This year’s showcase will help fund two full years of meals for local students, offering not just nourishment, but consistency, care, and dignity.
It’s a beautiful reflection of what true wellness looks like: a community looking out for its own.
In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming, there’s something uniquely healing about coming together—dancing together—for a shared goal. We believe in the power of performance to lift spirits, the strength of community to move mountains, and the wellness that comes from knowing your energy made a difference.
Whether you’re dancing under the lights, supporting a performer, or simply showing up in the audience—you are part of the movement. And we are so grateful.
So, as we welcome Tristan Mac Manus to Pensacola and gear up for our biggest and brightest showcase yet, remember: this is how we nourish bodies, hearts, and hopes.
