For more than 30 years, Pensacola’s Veterans Memorial Park has been a place to honor and remember our nation’s heroes. This coming Memorial Day weekend, the Park will host its annual Memorial Day Ceremony to show solemn respect to those who have lost their lives in military service.
On Sunday May 25th, the Park will open at 9am for exhibitors and visitors, with ceremony at 1pm. This year’s ceremony will include music by McGuire’s Pipe Band and Pensacola Opera Chorus, along with a presentation of wreaths by local civic organizations. Our keynote speaker is Captain Tim “Lucky” Kinsella, Jr, (USN, Ret). Tim served in the United States Navy for more than 30 years, and was Commanding Officer at NAS Pensacola before retirement. He is now serving as the City Administrator for Pensacola.
