When was the last time you celebrated?
Celebration involves a trip down memory lane and cherishing God’s faithfulness. I love what the Psalmist proclaims, “Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures Psalm 119:90.”
Celebration is the result of a joy-filled believer. From the Garden in Genesis to Revelation, you will see redemption story, when darkness is defeated by the light of Jesus Christ and hope is not lost. Take a moment and look at your own life. As I think back over my life, I can see so many ways God’s faithfulness covered my journey.
Celebration observes the work God is currently doing today. The Psalmist adds, “This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it Psalm 118:24.” Look at TODAY at the faithfulness of the Almighty. Put your hand over your chest and feel the rhythm of your heart. Resolve to not waste today but instead celebrate the opportunity for life and purpose.

You are here.
You are alive.
You are loved.
You are redeemed.
Celebrating today involves a growing awe of the Lord. Paul David Tripp states, “Awe of God means I live knowing there is a greater story than my little personal story. Awe of God means that there is a grander kingdom than my little kingdom of one. Awe of God means that God has a plan bigger and better than any plans I have for myself.” When you are in awe of God, you will notice His presence outside of your own bubble. You will celebrate with others…

Their faith
Celebration looks forward to the future with living hope. As you traverse through each day, look forward to the future of glory. Your time on this earth, no matter how good or bad it may be is nothing compared to the home awaiting. Because of Christ Jesus, your future home is promised in heaven (Philippians 3:20). The Gospel gives us permission to celebrate in advance. Until our time in heaven arrives, we must use our time on this side of heaven to celebrate and share the Gospel with others.
