The Gulf Coast Kids House is teaming up with its restaurant neighbors on 12th Avenue to bring you a delicious tasting tour! BLUE WAHOOS OPENING WEEKEND Friday, April 4 – Sunday, April 6 at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Friday and Saturday game time is 6:05 p.m. and Sunday is at 1:05 p.m. A trucker hat giveaway is sponsored by Landrum on Friday. Saturday will feature fireworks after the game. DON QUIXOTE Friday, April 4 – Sunday, April 6 at the Saenger Theatre. Times vary. Take a trip to Barcelona, Spain as Don Quixote, a retired gentleman who has become obsessed with tales of chivalry and exploration. Join him as he encounters various adventures and misadventures with bandits, enchantresses, and battling imaginary foes all while trying to prove that true love really can conquer all. NCAA MEN’S BASKETBALL FINAL FOUR AUBURN V. FLORIDA Saturday, April 5 at 5:09 p.m. The Greater Pensacola Auburn Club will have a watch party at O’Riley’s downtown. Florida Gator fans will gather at the Wisteria Tavern. Semifinal game #2 between Houston and Duke will begin at 7:49 p.m. Games are at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. The Championship game will tip off at 7:50 p.m. on Monday, April 7. WOMEN’S BASKETBALL FINAL FOUR Friday, April 4 at 7 p.m. for Texas v. South Carolina and 9:30 p.m. for UCONN and UCLA. This championship game will take place on Sunday, April 6 at 3:00 p.m. at Amalie Arena in Tampulf CGCheck local favorites like Seville Quarter or O’Riley’s for watch parties.

15TH ANNUAL NAVY FEDERAL 5K Saturday, April 5 at 8 a.m. Registration is still open and children 6 and under can also participate in the Sammie Sprint, a free quarter-mile race around Plaza Ferdinand.

Participation in this event benefits the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation, which funds projects and programs, including Grants for Excellence and employee appreciation programs. This event will also benefit the Santa Rosa Education Foundation. Their mission is to enhance and raise awareness of public education.

FIESTA PENSACOLA CHILDREN’S TREASURE HUNT Saturday, April 5 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Museum Plaza in downtown Pensacola. This is a FREE event for Pensacola. Registration begins at 11:00 am at Museum Plaza in Downtown Pensacola. Registration is required for prize drawings. Food service will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the Prize Ceremony, at our Prize Zone sponsored by Pete Moore Chevrolet, will begin at 2:00 p.m. All registered children will be entered into grand prize drawings, based upon age: 0-2 years old, 3-4 years old, 5-7  years old, and 8-10 years old, with multiple prizes per group.

Prizes include: bicycles, tricycles, summer camp sessions, water activities, art easels, sporting event tickets and so much more!
KATHLEEN MADIGAN Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m. at The Saenger Theatre. Comedian Kathleen Madigan’s 32-year comedy career is showing no signs of slowing down. Madigan has been touring 250 nights a year on the road and has risen from performing in comedy clubs to performing in marquee theaters with sold-out shows. Tickets: KATHLEEN TIX

THE GRAND DAME OF PALAFOX – THE SAENGER THEATRE’S 100TH BIRTHDAY STREET PARTY – Sunday, April 6 from 12 – 6 p.m. The Saenger is the heart of downtown Pensacola, and it’s our turn to thank the community for keeping it beating. Enjoy music, variety performances, food trucks, and building tours.

Local Arts Groups that perform at the theatre will also take the stage for a highlighted performance.
Portions of Palafox St and Intendencia St will be closed from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This community event features two screenings of the 1925 classic, The Phantom of the Opera, starring Lon Chaney, and showcasing music on the 1925 Saenger Pipe Organ, at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Tickets are free and can be claimed at the Box Office in advance or at the door while supplies last.
MARCUS KING BAND Tuesday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. at The Saenger Theatre. Marcus King is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Greenville, South Carolina. His 2020 solo album, El Dorado was nominated for a Grammy for Best Americana Album. His influences are Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, and Aretha Franklin.
