Soundside Splendor, one of the region’s most anticipated annual events, returns for its 20th year on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the stunning Portofino Island Resort on Pensacola Beach. Proudly presented by The Sandy Sansing Family, this elegant waterfront evening benefits the life-changing work of Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS).
Founded two decades ago by renowned Gulf Coast restaurateur Chef Jim Shirley, Soundside Splendor has raised nearly $3 million in support of local children and families. The event helps fund vital services including mental health counseling, early childhood education, parenting support, and youth mentoring—ensuring more children grow up in safe, strong, and supportive environments.
This year’s milestone celebration will feature exceptional culinary experiences from the area’s top chefs, elegant wines, live music, and both live and silent auctions—all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Santa Rosa Sound.
CHS is proud to recognize Abbie and Nels Offerdahl as this year’s Honorary Chairs. The Offerdahls are dedicated community leaders whose support and advocacy for children and families reflect the heart of the event. They are serving in this role in loving memory of their late daughter, Ashley Offerdahl.
Soundside Splendor is a celebration of our community coming together to serve children and families in our community.
