The Escambia County Healthy Start Coalition is partnering with multiple organizations to host its second Pensacola community baby shower. The first successful Pensacola Baby Shower was hosted in 2023. This event is designed to serve Escambia County families in the greater Pensacola area. It will be a free event for new and expecting parents, and their families. The event will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Sanders Beach – Corinne Jones Resource Center at 913 South I Street Pensacola, FL 32502 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
More than ever, families struggle to access community resources and connections that can aid their journey through parenthood. This community baby shower will provide much-needed information in addition to connection with local family support organizations. Caregivers attending this event will learn the basics of keeping themselves and their babies healthy. Guests are invited to be “showered” in resources and giveaways while supplies last.
The Pensacola Baby Shower is supported across the county by local organizations including Ascension Sacred Heart, Baptist Healthcare, CDAC Behavioral Healthcare, Navy Federal Credit Union, Community Health Northwest Florida, Nemours Children’s Health, Florida Blue, and Medicaid health plans such as Humana Healthy Horizons and Sunshine Health. The Healthy Start Coalition is still seeking support to host this much-anticipated event. Monetary or in-kind donations can help cover the cost of necessary baby supplies and safety equipment that will be distributed to guests free of charge.
