Bright Bridge Ministries Offers Hope for the Homeless

Bright Bridge Ministries is about to begin renovations that will add over 40 beds to their existing His Place Shelter. This will almost double their capacity for housing and programming, allowing Bright Bridge to provide 90+ shelter beds for men in their transition from homelessness to stable housing.

Our community is invited to the “Bridge to Tomorrow Kickoff Event” to celebrate the graduates of Bright Bridge’s Fresh Start Culinary Program and future plans for expansion of the His Place Shelter at Bright Bridge Ministries.

The Fresh Start Program is a program that teaches basic skills and principles of cooking and identification of different proteins and vegetables, as well as how to put them all together in a presentable way. The goal of the program is to prepare those who may have battled homelessness or addiction for the workforce, by gaining skills in the kitchen. With donations from their food partner, Native Cafe, they are able to fund the supplies needed for the class.

Community members, organizations, and government entities passionate about and interested in moving the needle on homelessness recovery are encouraged to attend the graduation and tour on April 1st.

About Bright Bridge Ministries

The mission of Bright Bridge Ministries is to promote the dignity and well being of the homeless and under-resourced in our community. Since 2007, we have provided food for those struggling with homelessness and food insecurity, now serving meals to over 1,700 men, women, and children each year. Our His Place Shelter, which began in 2017, provides housing and recovery programming for approximately 50 live-in residents each night. We offer mail service, hygiene products, life skills and recovery group meetings, and other resources for those in need.
