Local Pulse couldn’t be more ready to PAWTY at the 2025 Pensacola Pawdi Gras Parade on February 16th on Garden Street in Downtown Pensacola. On Sunday, February 16, thousands of like-minded, dog-loving small businesses and community members will gather to celebrate our fury friends. WolfGang LLC business owners Jessica and Kim Wolford’s unconditional love for every dog in Escambia County is what started this annual event four years ago and each year we love watching the party grow bigger and better.
Beyond the dogs, we admire in this event because it consciously promotes and advocates for small businesses in our community. As a small business themself, WolfGang LLC knows the impact that the exposure from an event this size can have.
February 16, 2025 will be the third annual Pensacola Pawdi Gras event. During the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Pawdi Gras Events they worked with over 20 local businesses to safely shut down the roads and created an atmosphere that was dog and family friendly. Even more impressive, the event generated over $50,000 to the local economy each year. With over 4,000 attendees and 500 dogs in the parade last year, they hope to break this record this year.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will once again fill the streets with adoptable dogs, music, costume contests, vendors, sponsors, and a ton of community fun. The 4th Annual theme is Pirates of Pensacola Bay, so get those eye patches and pirate hats ready for a day of Mardi Gras fun that is all about your pup. The event will continue it’s tradition of a dog paw-rade through downtown Pensacola and 100% of paw-rade registration fees will go directly to the benefactor, The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare. They have also teamed up with the Krewe of Hip Huggers, Hanto & Clarke, Perfect Plain Brewery and the Pensacola Ice Flyers as presenting sponsors, to once again help raise funds and awareness for the event benefactor.
The day will be filled with lots of paws and family fun, community leaders, dog and human games, food trucks, and so much more.
