Initially, their visits were casual, aimed at providing dogs with fresh air and socialization. However, everything changed when they met an 11-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier named Bruno. His sweet personality and gentle demeanor captured their hearts, transforming their visits into a regular routine every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Bruno quickly became a beloved member of the Hanto + Clarke family, ultimately finding his forever home with one of the team members — Stephanie.
For Stephanie, who had previously identified as a cat lady, this experience marked a significant shift in perspective. “Bruno is my first dog ever!” Stephanie shared. “I’ve always had cats, but fostering Bruno completely changed my view on dogs. He showed me just how incredible having a dog can be.”

As for the future, both Bruno and his new family are excited about attending Pawdi-Gras 2025. “Bruno is ready to celebrate in style, and I can’t wait to see him enjoy the event with all the other pups,” said Stephanie.
Life with Bruno has been nothing short of amazing. He has seamlessly adjusted to his new home, getting along wonderfully with the three cats and even forming a friendship with Pickles, a Rottweiler mix who belongs to her fiancé. “Bruno brings a little extra joy wherever he goes,” she remarked, noting that he still makes occasional visits to the office, where his presence is always welcomed.
