The Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival kicked off Tuesday night with an open mic showcase hosted by local Katie Dineen, followed by a Local Legends night last night. But tonight the full schedule ramps up with Bamboo Willies, Casino Beach Bar + Grill, the Courtyard by Marriott, Flounders, the Hilton Garden Inn, the Holiday Inn Beach Resort Gulf Front Tiki Bar, Paradise Inn Bar and Grill, The Sandshaker, and The Sandbar Sunset Bar and Grill.
Acts for tonight’s lineup will begin as early as 4 p.m. with Sean Gasaway, Teea Goans, CJ Solar at the Holiday Inn Gulf Front Tiki Bar.
This event runs through Sunday, October 6 and features 127 artists at 21 different venues. Many of the artists play free sets, while several special events require advanced ticket purchases. The Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival was co-founded by the late Jim Pasquale and his wife Reneda. For more than a decade they’ve brought many of Nashville’s top songwriters to perform at the festival. The most special part of the festival to Jim was the songwriters participating in the classrooms of the local schools. He believed that music should be a key part of education.
