BIKE PENSACOLA’S SEPTEMBER SLOW RIDE Friday, September 13 at 6 p.m. at the Ground Up Community Garden. Each Slow Ride explores the quiet, scenic streets of Pensacola’s many historic neighborhoods for a fun and leisurely ride among friends.
There is no charge for the ride, and no registration is required.
The casual-pace ride will be about one hour and ten minutes long. Nobody will be “dropped” or left behind. Children ages 10 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult; no kids under 10 on their bicycle. Cyclists under 16 must wear a helmet by law; ages 16 and up helmets are recommended but are not required by law. The ride will be escorted by officers of the Pensacola Police Department. A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS Friday, September 13 from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the Pensacola Little Theatre. A captivating historical drama originally set in 16th-century England during the reign of King Henry VIII. This production will transport the story to the Cold War era, offering a unique perspective on the timeless themes of morality and political struggle.
The play delves into the moral and political challenges faced by Sir Thomas More, a devout Catholic and loyal subject of the King. As Henry VIII, driven by his desire to divorce his wife Catherine of Aragon and marry Anne Boleyn, clashes with the Catholic Church, he demands unwavering loyalty from his subjects.
Amidst the political turmoil of the mid-20th century, More refuses to endorse Henry’s divorce and breaks with the Pope, citing his conscience and principles. Despite pressure from friends, family, and the King, Moore remains steadfast in his beliefs, ultimately leading to his downfall. The Country Music Hall of Fame member’s long-time touring band, consisting of Steve Hinson, David Johnson, Lance Dary, Bill Cook, Joe Van Dyke, and Herb Shucher along with longtime tour manager Jeff Davis join “Hoss,” as they affectionately call Travis, on the road after his life-altering stroke in 2013.
The show will consist of Dupré and the band performing all 16 of his iconic number ones including, “On The Other Hand,” “Forever and Ever, Amen,” and “Three Wooden Crosses.”

SEPTEMBER SONGWRITER’S ROUND Sunday, September 15 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at The Handlebar. This month’s round features locals Zachary Thomas Diedrich and Brenda Coleman, and Tallahassee songwriter Conor Churchill; hosted by Katie Dineen. The four songwriters take the stage to perform their original songs to a listening room. Zachary Thomas Diedrich creates an exciting raw new sound while maintaining a respect for timeless traditions of country, soul, blues, and rock n’ roll music. Brenda Coleman is a singer-songwriter who has performed across the Southeast at coffee houses, dozens of restaurants, and numerous festivals, including Springfest and First Night Pensacola. No matter where Brenda played, the people’s voices echoed the same words: gutsy, original, bluesy, folksy, and high-energy. Conor Churchill was born and raised in Tallahassee Florida, where he grew up listening to a wide variety of music. Most influential artists to him are Neil Young, Steve Earle, Joni Mitchell and Jason Isbell. Conor is a true storyteller when it comes to his songs. He captivates audiences with his thoughtful words and sweeping melodies. Katie Dineen, based in Pensacola, Florida, has been a musician all her life but began songwriting in her early twenties.
