If you have had a meal at Global Grill, chances are you have met Fisher and Koby Taylor. These twin 22-year-olds are the grown sons of Chef Frank and Jane Taylor, the owners of the award-winning fine dining restaurant in Downtown Pensacola.
They are the original inspiration for hosting a fundraiser art show on display inside the restaurant, that benefits the NICU at Studer Children’s Hospital.
The Sacred Heart Foundation, a part of Ascension Sacred Heart, has curated an art show highlighting the talents and stories of children who have received care at the Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola.
Part contest and part fundraiser, the “HeART to HeART” Art Contest and Fundraiser consists of 21 beautiful canvases recently painted by former and current patients at Studer Family Children’s Hospital.
Michaela McCarthy, Children’s Miracle Network Coordinator, Ascension Sacred Heart FoundationJane Taylor, Mom to Fisher and Koby and co-owner alongside her husband, Chef Frank Taylor, can’t think of any better reason than to offer their restaurant wall space to raise funds that will be combined with the efforts of the Cat Country Radiothon to install the AngelEye secure patient platform.
This equipment provides an opportunity for parents to interact with their children while they are in the NICU. This secure camera system will be installed in all 62 NICU rooms.
“My twins were born 12 weeks earlier than expected in 2002. I had been in a car accident, and two days later, I thought possibly I had complications that felt like a kidney stone. Instead, it turned out that the boys were arriving early. They were due April 1. They were born on January 2 with both barely tipping the scale over two pounds” Jane shared.
“It was one of the most difficult times of my life and all I wanted to do was hold my children. Because of complications, including Fisher having a level 3 brain hemorrhage, I was not able to cradle them for the first three weeks.
I remember clearly the support that Frank and I received from the NICU nurses at Sacred Heart. They were so good to us. I will never forget them or their names – Robin, Lynette, and Claire. I still thank God and pray for them to this day.”

The exhibition aims to connect the community with the hospital’s courageous kids, just like Fisher and Koby, and their dedicated caregivers. The show features original artwork created by the hospital’s pediatric patients and each piece is accompanied by the artist’s photo and a brief story.
You can support these young artists by voting for your favorite pieces. Each $5 donation counts as 1 vote, and voting closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16 during the Cat Country Cares for Kids Radiothon – which raised over $215,000 last year for programs and services at the Studer Family Children’s Hospital.
