Smalls Sliders Officially Expands into Pensacola

Smalls Sliders, the fast-growing cheeseburger slider brand that is revolutionizing the QSR industry, is excited to announce its official expansion into Florida beginning in August with their first Can set to open in Pensacola, located at 5301 N Davis Hwy. This marks the first of the brand’s large-scale plan to drop and open over 30 signature Smorange™-colored Cans across North, Central, and South Florida.

By joining the vibrant food scene in Florida, Smalls Sliders brings its simple menu specializing exclusively in fresh, cooked-to-order cheeseburger sliders that are small in size but big in taste. The brand’s 750-square-foot modular shipping container design, known as “Cans,” allows Smalls Sliders to stay focused on quality – in experience, community, and food.

“As we continue our expansion into Florida, we are excited to not just enter a new market; but to deepen our engagement with the diverse communities across the state,” said Maria Rivera, CEO of Smalls Sliders. “We look forward to becoming an additional part of Florida’s vibrant local spirit and contributing to the state’s renowned hospitality and leisure industry.”

Matthew Gallagher, Matthew Jr. Gallagher, and Zach Gallagher, franchise partners of Smalls Sliders, are leading the brand’s inaugural Florida Can opening in Pensacola. This dynamic family group has already successfully opened their first Smalls Sliders Can in Flowood, Mississippi.

“While developing my other Cans in Mississippi, I’ve experienced firsthand how game-changing the brand is to the QSR industry,” said Matthew Gallagher. “I wanted to be involved with Smalls Sliders in its infancy stages and be a part of its evolution, so it’s an honor to bring the brand to Florida.”

Throughout the latter half of 2024 and into 2025, Cans will open in key areas across Florida, including Ocala, Stillwater, Palm Beach County and Brandon. Each opening will highlight a Smalls Town Hero, reflecting Smalls Sliders’ deep commitment to community engagement through charitable actions, volunteerism, and unique local events aimed at enriching local culture and fostering community connections.

Since the debut of its first Smorange Can in 2019, Smalls Sliders has disrupted the QSR landscape with a formidable leadership team and an aggressive expansion strategy. The company has garnered significant industry recognition, appearing in Nation’s Restaurant News “Breakout Brands of 2023” and on QSR Magazine’s QSR 50 Contenders list. Additional accolades include placements on Entrepreneur magazine’s “Top New & Emerging Franchises” list in both 2023 and 2024.
