DONUT STRIKE FOR MANNA Wednesday, June 26 – Friday, June 28. Our sweet friends at Hanto & Clarke and PenAir Credit Union present the 2024 #donutstrike4manna! That’s right, the #donutstrike to #fighthunger has rolled back around! First responders have vowed from June 26-28 to not devour a single donut until thousands of pounds of nonperishable food have been donated to help hungry neighbors in need in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties!
BLUE ANGELS BRILLIANCE EXHIBITION AT BLUE MORNING ART GALLERY June 25 – July 27. JUNE SONGWRITER’S ROUND Sunday, June 30 at 6 p.m. at The Handlebar. The very talented and special songwriter Schaefer Llana coming down from MS to share her original music alongside our local songwriters. Schaefer is a touring and session vocalist and guitarist with multiple bands, including the Squirrel Nut Zippers. Her music is characterized as being “contemplative and confessional indie rock,” and her original song “Dew” has over a million listens on Spotify.
BLUES ON THE BAY FEATURING THE BLENDERS Sunday, June 30 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Community Maritime Park. The Blenders came together in 2009. Founding members Blane Butler and Joe Long combined talents and built an enthusiastic following. Soon the duo added Don Tucker from Los Angeles on drums. And, most recently, Ken Wallace joined on guitar. The lineup is a perfect blend of musicianship playing from the heart and soul.
