THE GOONIES Friday, June 7 from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. at Emerald Republic Brewing. You read that right, Gen Xers! One of the biggest movies from our time will be shown during ERB’s movie night featuring Short Fuse Pizza. The Goonies is a movie released in 1985 about a group of young misfits called The Goonies discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate’s long-lost treasure. RENT THE MUSICAL Presented by the Pensacola Little Theatre. Friday, June 7 from 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice, and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent has become a pop cultural phenomenon. KAYAK WITH A RANGER Friday, June 7 at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. (and other dates and times are ongoing; see link for details)

Over 80 percent of Gulf Islands National Seashore is a marine habitat! Paddle around Santa Rosa Sound on this 90-minute guided program to explore the region’s natural and human history. Kayaks are provided free of charge. Closed-toe shoes and a life vest are required. The event is limited to the first 10 people.
Note: Kayaks will be provided. Visitors must use park kayaks and equipment and weigh a minimum of 50 pounds, which is the minimum weight the youth life jackets are rated for. For single, sit-inside kayaks, the total participant weight cannot exceed 300 pounds; for tandem, sit-inside kayaks, the total participant weight cannot exceed 500 pounds. Youth are allowed to participate as long as they meet these requirements and are accompanied by an adult.

BASTION ON THE BLUFF AT FT BARRANCAS Friday, June 7 from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. The brick walls of Fort Barrancas loom large over Pensacola Bay. Join a guide on a 60-minute walking tour to discover the powerful and complex history of one of the most storied forts in the United States. Meet at the Fort Barrancas Visitor Center.
Fort Barrancas or Fort San Carlos de Barrancas is a United States military fort and National Historic Landmark in the former Warrington area of Pensacola, Florida, located physically within Naval Air Station Pensacola, which was developed later around it. The hilltop fort, connected to a sea-level water battery, overlooks Pensacola Bay. From 1839–1844, the historic Spanish fort on the hill was reconstructed and dramatically expanded in brick. WORLD OCEAN DAY BEACH CLEANUP Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. presented by Keep Pensacola Beautiful and Ocean Hour Cleanup. Keep Pensacola Beautiful and Ocean Hour are hosting a four-location beach cleanup on World Ocean Day. We’ll have supplies available at Casino Beach, Park East, Park West, and Quietwater Beach. PALAFOX MARKET Saturday, June 8 at 9 a.m. Palafox Market is an outdoor farmers and vendor market in two downtown Pensacola locations: Martin Luther King Plaza and Ferdinand Plaza. Trolleys are available to travel in between the locations. ESCAPE THE CITY PENSACOLA Saturday, June 8 at 10:30 a.m. – this is an outdoor escape-room-style scavenger hunt. Secure your tickets and you and your team will be sent instructions to begin planning for the event! Before the event, you will be sent an access code and the location where you will begin this adventure. You will need to explore the city going to various locations, unlocking clues, and solving puzzles. Keep an eye on the live leaderboard to see how other teams are doing! Fun for all ages! Saturday, June 8 at 10 a.m. The Pensacola community is invited to join FUMC for a morning of fun at First United Methodist Church of Pensacola!
