Opera al Fresco will continue with a concert on Mother’s Day weekend on Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. in Seville Square. Performing Artists include Allanda Small Campbell, soprano; Rachel Gibson, mezzo-soprano; Jack Chandler, baritone; and Cody Martin on piano.

Celebrate Mother’s Day with an afternoon of beautiful music – al fresco! The Pensacola Opera joins the Gulf Coast Culture Fest to bring you a set of favorite arias and musical theatre hits in the serene setting of Seville Square. Bring a chair and enjoy this free, family-friendly concert!

Another Opera al Fresco performance will be held on June 18 at the Big Lagoon Amphitheater at 6:00 p.m. Performing Artists include Bizhou Chang, soprano; Mary Bradley Knighton, soprano; Rachel Gibson, mezzo-soprano; Cody Martin on piano.

Opera Al Fresco is back at Big Lagoon State Park Amphitheatre for a lovely concert of favorite opera, musical theatre, and popular tunes. In partnership with West Florida Libraries and the Southwest Branch Library, present your Library Card for free entrance into the park for the concert.

No chairs are needed, as the event is held in a venue.

A library concert will be July 16 at 3 p.m. at the Downtown Library. Performing Artists include Sheila Dunn, soprano; Bizhou Chang, soprano; Jack Chandler, baritone; and Cody Martin on piano.

In partnership with West Florida Libraries, local singers will present favorite arias and musical theatre tunes for a free concert for the whole family.

In addition to these free concerts, the Opera adds another series, Opera After Dark.

Bathed in the glow of neon lights, local singers bring you a cabaret-style concert blending the beauty of opera and classical singing with the vibrant energy that only ignites after dark.

An Evening with Nicole Heinen kicks off Opera After Dark, where this 2023-24 soprano Studio Artist returns to perform a variety of cabaret songs, show tunes, and standards—including selections by Benjamin Britten, Kander & Ebb, and songs made famous by Édith Piaf. Nicole will be accompanied by Cody Martin on piano.

Thursday, June 13th at 7 PM at the Pensacola Opera Center. Tickets for this event are $25 and can be purchased here: Opera After Dark.

The Pensacola Opera will also hold Summer Camp: Overture in which students ages 8-13 will work with professionals on vocal technique, music theory, dance, theatre, and more. They will perform their very own production of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro. Camp dates are July 15-20. To register, visit Pensacola Opera Summer Camp.
